Olivia loves to be in the pool… as long as no water ever touches her face. Or at least that was her opinion at the beginning of the summer. But then we sent her off to GR for swim lessons at Calvin and thanks to several hours of being coaxed to jump into the pool and into Grandpa’s arms, she now LOVES the pool. And so last weekend, even though it was not really pool weather, we all went to the pool so Olivia could demonstrate her new ability to plunge her head
underwater and more importantly so I could digitally record this milestone.
You want me to do what???
Jump huh? Not even with encouragement from my friends
I know this tube should be comforting but not when you set me up right above the water and I can see just how far down it is!
And then.... Face in the water? No problem
Even Jack was impressed

We are SOOOOOO proud of Olivia. Two weeks of lessons and hard work paid off, indeed! But it took mostly Olivia's desire to finally put her head under the water that did the trick. Good job, O!!!!!
