6 recognizable parts

Has it really been 9 weeks?? Yes it has and so once again it is time for me to rant about report cards for 4 year olds. My husband it the Art teacher at Olivia's school. I recently had a conversation with him about Olivia's art skills. She is a very creative child. She loves to tell stories and play make believe and she likes to paint and draw. Eric said that she is above level in her drawings. She makes good use of the space - so she fills up the paper which is very important to Art teachers - she doesn 't draw stick people which a lot of first graders do as well as one 38 year old (that would be me) - and she has details in her drawings like ear rings and belly buttons and door bells and dog collars things like that. And she does have an eye for detail something I do not have. She will often see bug cars from the highway that are in parking lots at businesses adjacent to the highway. I only ever see them if they are on the road passing us.
So we get the report card last week and one of the items she is "graded" on is drawing a person with at least six recognizable parts. She got an S. AN S for SATISFACTORY!!!! Not a G for GOOD. I pointed this out to Eric and he just shrugged and said sometimes it is hard to please people. He meant me. It is hard to please me not it is hard to please the teacher. He then pointed to where she got a G for remembering and using her classmate's names. He pointed at this because previously she gotten an N for this and we had been working with her on remembering names. Sunny side of life whatever blah blah blah.
