Well Charley is suppose to pass just to the east of us and is suppose to be a mere tropical storm by the time it gets here but the one thing we have learned living in Durham is always prepare for the worst. If you prepare for the worst usually nothing happens. It is when you aren't prepared that gets ya.
So we bought this kitchen a few weeks ago for the kid's new playroom. It was on super sale at ToysRUs. It is suppose to rain all day because of Charley so we decided it was time to take it out of the box and play with it.!!! Everyone was thrilled. Jack climbed it three times and declared it conquered and the went to play with the box.
Jack and Olivia actually helped Eric put it together. Jack carried a screwdriver around and repeated everything that Eric did. So Eric pushed in a door then Jack did it. Eric screwed in the stovetop and then Jack did it. Olivia actually got to put the shutters on the windows and help put in the doors. Mommy put in the batteries and put the stickers on. Oh yeah it makes noise! When you turn the stove know it asks what you want to eat and if you put the chicken leg on the stove top it says - let's make chicken - and then follows with grilling noises.
As I type the kids are back and forth between the kitchen and the huge box. Eric is upstairs working on the playroom. No it is not done yet but the roof doesn't leak anymore so Eric will have all the insulation in by the end of today. Our next step is to trick a bunch of high school kids that are low on service points at school to come over and help him put up the rest of the drywall!!!!
